  • Deborah (Debba) Robinson: I am SO sad to hear of Betty's passing. She was my mentor in my first year of teaching and I spent endless hours with her during my 4 years in Zanesville. I left Zanesville in 1978 and while we got together from time to time when I would return for visits, I lost track of her many years ago. In fact, last year I drove past where she used to live and was sad to see she was no longer there --- and I didn't see any evidence of the family members I knew. I did searches to no avail. Betty - I wanted to thank you, once again, for supporting me as a young educator and as a friend. To her family - my condolences. She made a lasting impression on my life - I can still hear her quiet laugh and her sage advice. Debba Robinson

  • Beth Sines: I am so sorry I am unable to attend Betty's showing and funeral due to a death in my own family. I worked with Betty for 9 years and will miss her dearly. She was so funny and always found a way to brighten my day. My deepest sympathies are with your family at this time.

  • Cathy Bash: Jane,
Sorry to hear about your loss, I know how much Betty meant to you and your family. I remember you sharing stories of your visits to see Betty. I am sure that she enjoyed them as much as you did. She is in the Lord's hands now and that must make your heart feel good. Your faith will help you through this.

  • Chase Osborne: Betty was my 4th grade Teacher at Garfield Elementary in the mid 1971-72. I was always very fond of her. She didn't stand for much fulling around in her class, but her soft side would ALWAYS sneak out. You could tell that she really loved teaching. I will always remember her blue dresses, her wimsy & that contageous smile.
She was my first favorite teacher!
