Eleanor R. Driggs-McCabe age 86 of Zanesville, died at 10:00 pm Thursday June 17, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was born January...
Eleanor R. Driggs-McCabe age 86 of Zanesville, died at 10:00 pm Thursday June 17, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born January 30, 1924 in Zanesville and was the daughter of the late William C. and Mary R. Slivka Scheffler.
Eleanor retired as a receptionist at the Roekel Co. after 23 years of service and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid bingo player and loved shopping.
She is survived by her step-sons; Mark (Teresa) McCabe of New Concord and Mike McCabe of Canal Winchester; grandchildren: Kyle (Kelly) Porter, Kasey (Jessica) Porter, Christopher (Kay) McCabe, LeeAnn McCabe and Carlie McCabe; 1 great grandson and 2 great granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clair R. Driggs who died Sept. 23, 1989, and her second husband, Frederick L. McCabe who died Jan. 18, 2000.
Calling hours will be from 2 – 5 pm Sunday June 20, 2010 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. and one hour prior to services which will begin at 11:00 am Monday June 21, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Kudart officiating. Committal services will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
