Carol A. Woods

Carol A. Woods, 82, of Nashport, OH, died peacefully at 10:55 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice.

She was born June 1, 1939 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of William Hilton and Hilda Furbee Hilton.

Carol lived for most of her life in Martins Ferry, Ohio and worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel for 20 years. After spending time in Los Angeles, she returned to Ohio, and retired from National Gas & Oil in Newark, OH. Carol also spent more than 10 years in Cranberry Township, PA, until she returned to Nashport, where she was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church Zanesville, Ohio. She was known by all for her great sense of humor, work ethic, her love of The Ohio State Buckeyes, her grand doggies, and proud title of "Grandma Carol."

She is survived by her 2 sons Bill (Becky) Woods & Bruce (Stacy) Woods: 4 Grand Children ; Amanda (Chris) Allen, Jessica (Ryan) Woods, Eric Woods & Claire Woods  ; 3 Great grand children; CJ, Indy & Carlyn and her sister in law Donnis Hilton.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother William "Uncle Bill" Hilton.

A Celebration of Life service will take place this summer.
