David "Dave" C. Grether Sr.

David "Dave" C. Grether Sr. , 75y,4m,13d of Zanesville died at 11:55 AM Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home under hospice care after a short battle with cancer.
He was born March 11, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Charles Conrad Grether and Naomi Ruth Neff Grether.
Dave was Methodist by faith and an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. After servicing his time in the military, he became a Police Officer for the City of Zanesville, where he retired in 1997 after over 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting & just simply relaxing on the porch.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer S. Mann Grether whom he maried June 4, 2022; three children, David C. Grether Jr., Ann Marie Grether and John Grether; several grandchildren, a sister Becky A. Frame; several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Grether & Kathy Marie Grether.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home.
