Genevieve "Ellie" Eleanor Mumaw

Genevieve “Ellie” Eleanor Mumaw, 75 of Norwich died peacefully with her family by her side at 12:37 P.M. Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
She was born July 22, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Charles "Chuck" William Tyson and Genevieve “Jennie" E. Pence Tyson.
Ellie retired from Ohio District Council Nursing Home and later with Autumn Health Care Nursing Home after over 40 years of service. She enjoyed visiting casinos, particularly playing the slots, old Turner Classic movies and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her great grandsons which she called her boys.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Courtney (Jeff )Brown and Lindsey (Richie) Cole; a daughter-in-law, Carla Reynolds; two great grandsons, Jase Brown & Weston Brown; three brothers, Joe (Susan) Tyson, Randy (Barb) Tyson and Jeff (Christy) Tyson; three sisters, Josy (Rick) Rickhart, Beth (Mark Ethel) Tyson and Candy Thompson; two brother-in-laws, Terry Mumaw and Carl Mudgett; two sister-in-laws, Diane Mann and Judy Lane; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry J. Mumaw Sr.; a son Larry J. Mumaw Jr.; a sister, Sue Mudgett and a brother Jim Tyson.
Visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2022 with funeral service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
