Lawrence "Pete" Peter Dinan

Lawrence "Pete" Peter Dinan, 81 of Zanesville died Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2022 at his home following a short illness.
He was born February 16, 1941 in Zanesville the son of Thomas R. Dinan and Hilda V. Grandstaff Dinan.
Pete was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and also attended St. Mary Catholic Church. He graduated from Rosecrans High School & was a self-employed surveyor his entire life, just retiring recently at the age of 81. When he was not surveying he did enjoy watching NASCAR & all sports and spending time with family. Pete had also served on the East Muskingum Water Board for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Kay Guinther Dinan whom he married March 3, 1962; four children, Paul (Jennifer) Dinan, Christopher (Viviana) Dinan, Kyle (Wendy) Dinan and Susan (Rusty) Michel; Grandchildren, Kayla Dinan, John Ross Dinan, Jakeb Dinan, Parker Dinan, Carter Dinan, Bree Michel, Aedan Dinan and Eleanor Dinan; two step grandsons, Carter Noll and Tyler Noll; great grandchildren, Savannah Dinan & Sydnee Dinan; brothers, Thomas Sherwood "Sherry" (Peggy) Dinan, John (Kathleen) Dinan; a sister, Christine (Bill) Merry; a sister-in-law, Estelle Dinan and numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Dinan & David Dinan, a sister, Catherine "Cathy" Mallett, granddaughter, Kylee Michelle Dinan and a special aunt, Catherine "Sis" Dinan.
A private visitation and funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Ryan Schmit as celebrant. Burial will conclude at the Mattingly Settlement Cemetery.
