(Verl) Goldsmith, Hobart Murphy, Ellis (Jeanne) Murphy, Helen (Richard) Griffith, and Ruth Ann (Carl) Goldsmith.
She was married to the late Robert "Gene" Davy and had two daughters who survive her and loved her dearly. After her children were school age Marlene went to work as the Office manager of Bland Coffey Realty. She taught Real Estate Principles and Practices at Ohio University Zanesville and Belmont Campuses. Her knowledge of the real estate business made her a leader in the community, leading her to become a successful mortgage lender with Century National Bank. She was always wanting to be active so after her retirement she enjoyed being part of the Office personnel with Hoffer Automotive.
She made many friends by her involvement in Business and Professional Women, American Business Women, past Worthy Matron and 50+ year member of Brownsville Chapter 486 Order of Eastern Star, and the Muskingum County Women's Republican Club.
Marlene loved to travel, with her favorite place to visit as Las Vegas. She loved watching Ohio State Football, Tiger Woods playing golf as well as game shows and the food channel on tv. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper.
Memorial contributions may be made to Muskingum County Animal Shelter or a charity of choice.
The family wishes to thank the kind and caring staff of Willow Haven, Genesis Hospital and Genesis Hospice, Morrison House.
