Phyllis L. Stevens

Phyllis Louella Stevens, 94, passed away on March 6, 2023 at Genesis CCU. She was born in Trimble, OH in Athens County on July 4, 1928 to George Fremont Lucas and Blanche Ellen
Pickett Lucas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an older sister, Thelma Carter and her husband Clarence F. Stevens Sr.

She is survived by her older brother Dexter Lloyd Lucas. She had five children, Frema Stanley, Phyllis (Katie) McBride, Norma Jean (Ron) Brookover, Jennie Ellen Guizar, and Steve Stevens.
She had thirteen Grandchildren, thirty Great-grandchildren and 8 Great-great grandchildren.

She loved to travel and visited many places. She had a seamstress business for many years and she also owned and operated the Y-City Doll Hospital for many years. She loved to paint and draw. She has done many sceneries, portraits, etc., although she lost the use of her right hand after her stroke and learned to use her left hand.

She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place 1:00 P.M Friday, March 10, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery.
