Mac Davis, 81 of Zanesville died at 9:28 AM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House following a short illness.
He was born July 20, 1939 in Zanesville, the son of Roy S. Davis and Edna McCourt Davis.
After graduation from New Concord High School, Mac served with the National Guard and then attended Barber College. He retired after 55 years as a barber, having the same front door and barber chair on West Main at Davis Barbershop. Mac attended East 40 Church of Christ, was a trustee for over 18 years with Perry Township and his true passion was horseracing, livestock and farming.
He is survived by his wife, Linda "Lynn" K. Ayers Davis; a son, Brent (Deana) Davis; a granddaughter, Maycie Davis, a brother Lee (Marjorie) Davis and numerous nieces & nephews. Mac was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will hold a private funeral service and burial will take place at the St. Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Genesis Morrison House Hospice, 713 Forest Ave. Zanesville.
