It was a wonderful pleasure to see Mr. Coultas, not just in school, but out and about. He always had a smile on his face and that darned toothpick in his mouth :) He will be greatly missed.

I have worked with Gilmore in the classroom and in Muskingum County Retired Teachers.
I have many memories of him and he always had a joke to tell. We were both teachers at
Hancock for its final year. He was a favorite teacher for many students. His kindness and understanding will be remembered forever.

The Sahara Desert culture. We have a great deal of respect and sympathy for Gilmore and family but it is also cool to know my 9th grade teacher is still kicking :-)

Mr. Coultas gave me my life long love of photography. In his class we built a photographic enlarger from two metal pie pans and an old Kodak bellows camera. His stories of WW II flying were a big part of my spending 22 years as an Air Force Aviator and private pilot. As we often look back at those who directly affected who, and what, we are I realize how he meant so much to me. REST IN PEACE, TEACHER. You were loved and are missed.

To the Coultas families- it was my honor and privilege to have been a ZHS Athletic Booster member and volunteer with Gilmore. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Dedicated to his family, country, church and community is how I will remember him. God Bless.

To the family of Mr Coultas, I remember him like it was yesterday, I had him as a science teacher at Hancock Junior High, I don't think there was a day I went to class that he didn't have his toothpick sticking out of his mouth. He was one of my most favorite teachers there. He never had a problem explaining something twice even if you weren't always paying attention. You'll be missed by many friends as well as family. May you rest in peace and I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Thinking of all of you through this difficult time, Amy Roberts-Agin

I am so sorry to hear of Gilmore's passing. He was an exceptional person; a wonderful teacher and a loving father, grandfather and husband. My thoughts are with the family, all of whom I have very fond memories. Hanna Chalcraft-Mohr

Mr. Coultas was a very kind and funny man. He loved all people and enjoyed being around his children's friends. It has been a long time since I have seen him, but I remember him smiling as he and his wife opened their home to Cindy's friends. May God be with Cindy, Vicki, Mrs. Coultas and the family as he is on his journey to God and the angels. God Bless. Sher Graham

Each of us become the person we are because of others who touched our lives. I am a better person today because of Mr. Coultas (my teacher and role model both in school and church). He was a man of faith and will be missed! God speed!
